The history of technology largley parrells the history of invention.
Many technological developmentsthat benefit society are accompanied by harmful effects. Some products of technology as motor vehicle emissions, industrial waste, and insecticides have some damaging effects on people, animals and plants. The majority of industrial countries face problems of air, water, soil and noise pollution.

Hello Leo - the development of an industrial society has certainly been accompanied by some negatives but there's a lot to be said for it, too. Modern medicine for one, communications technology, the simple ability to pack up and go to the other side of the world by plane... and personally would be lost without Google! Anyway, hope you are enjoying the program. The next bit is less fun, but you will enjoy the week after that I hope
