I managed to add my vote for favourite animal to dogs. This was very straight forward and the mystery of a wiki is now solved for me.
I had fun playing with the wiki
A bit of trouble with all the brackets but much easier to cut and paste than to fiddle around with formatting.

Week 7: # 16 Wikis
The scoop and usefulness of wikis to library communities is almost endless.
The upside is what we, as a library community, can do with them! One of the wikis I liked, having explored a few for obvious interest reasons, was "romancewiki"
I think a wiki could be useed very succrssfully in the library by allowing patrons to add comments to the catalogue in the forms of reviews and comments.

Week 6: # 16 On Library 2.0 & Web 2.0
When working in the library we must make sure to be up to date with all ways of accessing information. Maybe through library blogs as the centre point where the technology and the users meet would also fill the need.
To a temporary place in time by Dr Wendy Schultz
Points I liked from Schultz article:

- "The library is everywhere, barrier-free, and participatory"
- Librarian "superstars"
- Developing participatory relationships with customers
Week 6: # 14 Tehnorati
I am a bit doubtful about Technarati. Maybe by practising more I will have more confidence but I have to say it certainly does what it says it will do.

Week 3 #7
Technology has influenced the development of society.
The history of technology largley parrells the history of invention.
Many technological developmentsthat benefit society are accompanied by harmful effects. Some products of technology as motor vehicle emissions, industrial waste, and insecticides have some damaging effects on people, animals and plants. The majority of industrial countries face problems of air, water, soil and noise pollution.
